They are ceramic structures used for restoration of deep caries, excessive tissue loss or tooth loss in case of laminate veneers are not sufficient.

They are prothetic materials with ceramic framework and developed for preventing dull and unnatural appearance due to not having color transparency of the metal under the porcelain, which is the biggest handicap of classical prosthesis with metal framework.

Compressed ceramic is used as framework and thus its’ light transparency is high and close to natural teeth.

They are usually used for anterior region or for short bridges because they can be broken under over loads in  especially molar region, despite their superior esthetic appearance.
